SUMMARY

The Project Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager of Master Data Management (MDM) and will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of assigned projects.   Working as a member of the MDM team, the Project Manager will manage complex projects that improve process efficiencies and effectiveness of SharkNinja’ s Data Management, Retail and Operations. Projects are business facing and may or may not include technology changes. The Project Manager must be a self-starter, an advocate of change, and will act as a main liaison across all functional teams to bring the project to a successful completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and lead internal and external cross functional team members to deliver on time and within budget
  • Provide critical thinking, challenging leadership and project teams on their assumptions and improvement processes
  • Establish impact and scope criteria of expected changes to define and identify issues, risks, and mitigation
  • Manage executive team and project team expectations
  • Research, diagram, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes
  • Collect data to identify root cause of problems
  • Prepare process diagrams, business specifications and flowcharts, analyze data and recommend alternatives for improving processes
  • Develop business strategies and tactics to implement changes to existing or new processes
  • Develops metrics for process measures, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities
  • Perform cost-benefit analysis for proposed changes to aid management in making strategic and tactical decisions
  • Coordinate and facilitate in-depth interviews, meetings, and workshops for current and future state processes improvements
  • Communicate status issues, risks and changes to all stake holders including executive leadership and project teams
  • Present project enrollment and update decks to all levels of the organization

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in data management, IT project management, and business operations. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, and strong problem-solving skills.

The ideal Candidate should have:

  • Experience with operations, data management, or system implementation projects
  • Strong business acumen and be able to understand the business needs of the organization and how MDM can support those needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to complex data challenges.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously; to adapt to changing priorities
  • Effectively manage process improvement initiatives to completion within budget and timeline
  • Can introduce and foster a culture of change
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Able to build understanding and trust as well as develop a solid network and effectively manage stakeholders throughout all levels within the organization.
  • Can identify the needs and expectations of others and provide mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills: Can effectively manage various projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Process oriented: Can easily recognize areas of improvement and develop strategies for implementation resulting in improved efficiencies.
  • Strong project management skills (effective in Agile and Traditional methodologies), including the ability to develop project plans, manage risks and issues, and track progress against project milestones.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Work with a global organization in North America, Asia and UK/EU locations for conference calls and shared programs

EDUCATION and OTHER SKILLS

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as information systems, or business administration.
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, data management, data governance, or IT project management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years strong Project Management skills 
  • Experience with MDM software and technologies, such as Oracle PDH, SAP MDM, Informatica MDM, Riversand MDM, or IBM MDM.
  • Proficiency with Project Management tools like MS Teams, MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, Jira, Confluence
  • PMI Certification and Six Sigma Certification desirable
  • Consumer Products Goods (CPG) and or Retail experience highly desirable
  • Global expansion experience is an asset
