Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Project Manager to join our team supporting navy navigation projects for naval and governmental ships.
In this role, you will manage customer deliveries of marine navigation systems, working closely with experienced colleagues, customers, suppliers, and shipyards. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from sales through delivery and after sales.
The role suits a project manager with a few years of experience in the defence or governmental sector who wants to deepen their expertise in maritime navigation and control systems. Prior maritime experience is beneficial, but a proactive mindset, solid engineering fundamentals, and a willingness to learn matter just as much.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Navy Navigation projects through all phases, from sales and design to delivery and acceptance
  • Lead and coordinate engineering, production, and testing activities to meet contractual, schedule, and budget goals
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring proactive communication and timely issue resolution
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions where needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal and customer-specific quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards
  • Prepare documentation, progress reports, and milestone reviews
  • Support and facilitate technical problem-solving across teams
  • Participate in supplier tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and trials as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with navy-related security requirements

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience with marine systems
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project management within the defence or governmental sector
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics) and proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • General understanding of computer systems, cybersecurity, and networking equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Norwegian
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Customer- and result-oriented mindset with high attention to quality and detail
  • Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Eligibility for security clearance in accordance with Norwegian regulations (background check required)

Skills Required
