As Program Manager IV, you will manage all aspects of assigned projects and serve as a single point of contact. In this role, you will lead and manage multiple medium- to large-sized projects, leveraging advanced project management tools to deliver results. You will accomplish project objectives by planning, coordinating, and evaluating project activities.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
After 90 days, the position offers a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days working from home. Based on project needs, travel to other facilities may be required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects and provide a single point of contact.
- Lead and manage multiple medium- to large-sized projects, leveraging advanced project management tools to deliver results.
- Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Prepare and complete action plans.
- Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Complete audits and identify trends.
- Determine system improvements and implement changes.
- Meet financial objectives by participating in the development of forecasting requirements.
- Participate in preparing the annual budget and scheduling expenditures.
- Analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Lead enterprise-wide projects across Nursing Operations, including high-visibility initiatives that may scale across locations.
- Manage multiple projects of varying size, complexity, and scope, typically 5–15 projects.
- Partner with nursing leadership and enterprise shared services to support strategic initiatives.
- Lead projects involving workforce planning, staffing efficiency, recruitment and retention, and care models.
- Support Information Technology (IT), virtual care, artificial intelligence (AI), quality, patient safety, and healthcare-associated infection (HAI) initiatives.
- Manage projects that may include the Nursing enterprise’s infusion pump portfolio, partnering with IT, Clinical Engineering, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, and vendors.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and anticipate the needs of Nursing and nursing leadership.
- Track project deliverables, timelines, and project-specific key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure successful outcomes.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field and five years project management experience in assigned area which may include experience in implementing and supporting a major IT system in a clinical or system analyst capacity, experience involving complex financial system applications, etc.
- OR Master’s degree and four years of experience
- Experience creating and maintaining a project plan from inception through completion
- Effective relationship building skills
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Master’s degree
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Healthcare or nursing experience
- Experience working with C Suite stakeholders
- Project management experience across a broad scope of disciplines
- Understanding of healthcare operations, ideally nursing workflows and culture
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify issues, and develop practical solutions for complex operational challenges
- Strong ability to manage timelines, deliverables, priorities, and project-specific KPIs
Physical Requirements:
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
- May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
- Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
- Must have own transportation to travel to multiple sites.
