Project Manager, IT

The project manager role is responsible for driving consistent, high-quality project delivery across the organization. This role is deeply focused on execution, delivery discipline, and operational rigor, ensuring projects are planned, managed, and delivered on time, within scope, and with clear accountability.

You will lead and mature the Project Management Office (PMO) as a delivery enablement function, establishing practical standards, tools, and processes that support project teams and increase predictability, transparency, and throughput. Your success is measured by delivery performance, adoption of standards, and improved execution outcomes, not strategic portfolio decision-making.

Responsibilities:

· Build and operate a tactical, execution‑focused PMO that supports consistent project delivery across technology, operations, and digital initiatives.

· Define, standardize, and maintain project management methodologies, templates, and delivery practices (hybrid Agile / waterfall as appropriate).

· Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and delivery expectations for project managers and delivery teams.

· Ensure projects follow disciplined practices for scope, schedule, risk, issue, dependency, and change management.

· Facilitate escalation and resolution of delivery blockers, resourcing constraints, and cross‑team dependencies.

Project & Portfolio Management:

· Partner with Digital, Technology, Business, and Enablement leaders to align agile delivery with business outcomes.

· Lead the deployment and optimization of project management systems, tools, and delivery dashboards.

· Evaluate and integrate AI-driven analytics and automation to enhance forecasting, project tracking, and performance insights.

· Review project plans, schedules, risks, and dependencies to identify delivery issues early and drive corrective action.

· Ensure consistent, accurate project status reporting across initiatives.

· Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and proactive delivery management.

Tools, Reporting & Transparency

· Own the deployment, adoption, and optimization of project management tools and delivery dashboards.

· Ensure delivery data is accurate, maintained, and reflects real project health.

· Produce operational delivery reporting (status, risks, timelines, capacity, and dependencies) for leadership consumption.

· Continuously improve reporting clarity, cadence, and usefulness.

· Provide hands‑on oversight of active projects and programs, ensuring delivery plans are realistic, maintained, and actively managed.

· Reconcile expense of projects to overall budget and business ROI.

Skills:

· Deep understanding of enterprise PMO maturity models and agile delivery at scale.

· Expertise in KPI definition, performance measurement, and executive-level reporting.

· Strong knowledge of portfolio, program, and budget management best practices.

· Proficiency with modern PMO and delivery tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com).

· Comfort operating in fast‑moving, evolving environments that require adaptability.

Minimum Qualifications:

· 6+ years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management.

· Experience within a high-growth or transformation-driven organization.

· Strong experience with Agile at scale, SAFe, and hybrid delivery models.

· Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale enterprise transformations and digital initiatives.

· Financial acumen with experience managing portfolios exceeding $10M.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience operating within complex, multi-line-of-business enterprises.

· Background in technology-enabled transformations or digital modernization initiatives.

· Strong change leadership skills within agile or operating model transformations.

Certifications:

· PMP, PgMP, PfMP, or Agile certifications (SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP).

· Prosci or equivalent Change Management certification preferred.
