$100,000.00-$125,000.00Montefiore Medical Center's Division of Clinical Pathology is responsible for the laboratory testing of blood, urine, and body fluids for disease diagnosis and health maintenance. Utilizing the latest advances in computer technology, the Division maintains millions of dollars of state-of-the-art automated equipment at its laboratory sites and services hospitals, nursing homes, the Montefiore Medical Group, faculty practices, and voluntary physicians' offices at more than 40 sites.
Reporting to the Pathology Chief Quality Officer and the Pathology Chief Informatics Officer, the Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple faculty-driven projects relating to quality management and informatics across the department. Core responsibilities include developing work plans, scheduling activities, managing timelines, facilitating staff training and education, organizing site and/or section-based initiatives, working with leaders on project strategy, designing workflows, and making programmatic recommendations. The position will interface with faculty and staff members of the Department of Pathology, MIT, as well as other senior leaders within the organization as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Work with departmental leadership and laboratory clinical and administrative and leadership to ensure successful outcomes aligned with departmental vision and goals
- Prepare project work plans and timeliness for implementation of related activities
- Collaborate with leadership in transforming processes, designing new workflows, developing, or revising policies and procedures and implementing new systems
- Develop technical expertise in all aspects of project development
- Perform administrative functions related to the project such data reporting, and other office-based functions
- Prepare agendas and facilities department and site-based meetings
- Train staff on project principles and offer technical assistance as needed
- Provide assistance with other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently are required
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, i.e., Excel, Power Point, and Word, is necessary; experience w MS Project and Vizio is desirable
- Previous project management experience and/or PMP certification is preferred
