recruiting a Project Manager – Fit Out for one of our clients in the civil
engineering industry based in Dubai, UAE.
About Our Client:
Our client is a leading Dubai-based civil engineering
company delivering high-quality construction and fit-out projects across
commercial and infrastructure sectors, with extensive experience in civil
works, building construction, and MEP integration, providing end-to-end
solutions including design coordination, project management, and execution, and
maintaining strong standards of safety, quality, and compliance with UAE
regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial surveys to check existing MEP (Mechanical,
Electrical, Plumbing), ceiling heights, floor levels, and any asbestos or
structural issues
- Liaise with building management, landlords, security, and neighboring
tenants regarding access, noise hours, lift usage, and waste disposal
- Obtain interior work permits, fire safety NOCs, and
municipal approvals specific to fit-out works
- Work with the QS to ensure all finishes, fixtures, and
furniture are accurately quantified
- Align material deliveries precisely with the installation
sequence (e.g., flooring before joinery, painting before lighting)
- Inspect paint finishes, tile grout lines, joinery alignment,
edge detailing, and the flushness of sockets with wall panels
- Ensure lighting control systems, data points, AV, and HVAC
diffusers integrate seamlessly into ceiling and wall finishes
- Enforce strict safety measures for working at heights (false
ceilings), dust control, use of noisy tools, fire safety during hot work
(welding/cutting), and handling of hazardous materials (adhesives, paints)
- Provide daily/weekly dashboards with photos (walls,
ceilings, floors) and percentage completion per zone Fit-out clients expect
visual proof
- Manage DLP (Defects Liability Period)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical
Engineering
- Proven 6–10 years of experience in high-end retail, data centres,
luxury hotels, etc
- Proficiency in the following software tools: MS Project,
Primavera P6, AutoCAD (essential for drawing review), and Microsoft Office
(Excel/Word)
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven
environment
