Are you an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable working at the intersection of content, technology and operations? Do you enjoy bringing structure to complex workflows and solving problems when systems, people and deadlines all need to align? Are you confident building relationships across teams while still getting into the detail when needed?
As Project Manager, Exam Item Banks, you will play a central role in how CFA Institute manages its exam question banks and delivers mock exam and practice content across the CFA Program and other credentialing products.
You will combine project management with technical and operational oversight, coordinating work across systems, teams and stakeholders. A significant part of the role involves the movement and quality assurance of content between our item banking and learning platforms.
What You’ll Do
Lead the planning and delivery of multiple workstreams supporting exam item banks, mock exams and practice content.
Oversee the movement of assessment content between systems such as ProBuilder and Canvas, including file setup, metadata and related technical processes.
Act as a key point of coordination when system issues, break-fix situations or workflow dependencies require collaboration across teams.
Build strong working relationships across Exam Development, Learning Technology, Content Operations and other Education teams.
Oversee QA, QC and UAT activity to make sure candidate-facing practice and mock exam content is accurate, functional and ready for release.
Identify risks, capacity constraints and delivery trade-offs early, and recommend changes to sequencing, scope or resources where needed.
Improve workflows and documentation as content volumes and technical processes continue to evolve.
Maintain oversight of data integrity, metadata and the reliable operation of the systems and processes supporting the item banks.
What We’re Looking For
Strong project or programme management experience in a complex environment, with evidence of managing multiple interconnected workstreams from planning through delivery.
Demonstrable experience building and managing integrated schedules, dependencies, resources and competing priorities.
Experience working with technology-enabled operational or content workflows and enough technical fluency to understand system interactions, troubleshoot issues and work effectively with technical partners.
Experience with QA, QC and/or UAT processes, particularly around system implementations, enhancements or content delivery.
Familiarity with learning management systems, content management systems or comparable platforms.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with evidence of building relationships and influencing decisions across different teams.
Experience working with data, metadata or structured content where accuracy and integrity across systems are important.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgement to navigate ambiguity and make practical decisions when plans change.
Why Join Us
Take ownership of work that directly supports the quality and delivery of CFA Institute exam preparation and assessment content.
Work across content, technology and operations rather than within a narrowly defined project management remit.
Join a team with deep expertise in CFA Program exams, curriculum and item-bank management.
Help shape increasingly sophisticated workflows as the volume of content and the technology used to manage it continue to evolve.
Build relationships across multiple areas of Education and contribute to decisions about systems, processes, sequencing and delivery.
