About ECS

We’re in the risk management business. With our help, our clients keep their fire sprinkler systems safe. Whether it’s a risk to lives, structures, properties, or everyday business, we guide clients to the best answer for their safety. Corrosion is our enemy and safety is our goal.

To accomplish that goal, we’ve come to understand why and how corrosion happens. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution because a truly cost-effective combination of devices, systems, and management approaches depends on your individual needs. And we never stop finding new and better ways to serve those needs.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, Engineering Services, you'll lead ECS’s corrosion assessment projects from proposal development through completion, serving as a trusted partner to clients while coordinating field engineers, external contractors, and internal stakeholders. The team you’ll work with performs in-depth corrosion assessment and analysis work at customer sites, and the project portfolio typically consists of many short-term engagements, ranging from a few days to a few weeks. You'll play a key role in ensuring these projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and with an exceptional customer experience.

This role is ideal for project managers who enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and balancing multiple priorities in a technical, customer-focused environment. Whether you're working with customers, field teams, or senior leadership, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on project outcomes and help drive the continued growth of our Engineering Services business.

  • Partner with commercial stakeholders to present proposals to customers, leading discussions related to technical scope, project execution, schedules, deliverables, risks, and resource requirements while supporting the customer's evaluation and decision-making process.
  • Support proposal and project conversion efforts by maintaining communication with customers regarding project status, anticipated timelines, and execution planning, particularly within established customer programs and strategic accounts.

Project Planning and Execution

  • Share responsibility for successful project delivery with Corrosion Field Engineers by leading project coordination, scheduling, communication, and execution activities while technical team members maintain ownership of deliverable quality and technical accuracy.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, logistics, and execution plans across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Coordinate project readiness activities, including site access, field support requirements, customer onboarding, and scheduling needs.
  • Monitor project performance, proactively identify risks or obstacles, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Drive projects to successful outcomes while balancing schedule, quality, customer expectations, and business objectives.
  • Support the execution of complex customer programs and multi-site initiatives that deliver meaningful value to clients.

Resource Planning and Project Coordination

  • Coordinate consulting and field engineering resources across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Balance team capacity, project priorities, and customer commitments to support efficient project execution.
  • Maintain project schedules, documentation, milestone tracking, and status updates within project management and ERP systems.
  • Communicate project health, key milestones, risks, and priorities to leadership and stakeholders.

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with customers, contractors, and key stakeholders through proactive communication and responsiveness.
  • Guide customers through project milestones, manage expectations, and provide clear updates on progress and deliverables.
  • Address project challenges and customer concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that reflects ECS's commitment to technical excellence and service.
