We’re seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Data Project Manager in our Bloomington, MN office to lead the coordination and delivery of data quality and growth initiatives across our organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Data Operations, this role is pivotal in ensuring that data projects, initiatives, and cross-functional data and IT projects are executed at a high quality, on time, and with efficient use of resources. By leveraging experience in Commercial Real Estate, this role will bring an expert perspective to our corporate data projects.
You’ll serve as the central point of accountability for project delivery, working closely with internal teams, external vendors, and leadership stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead end-to-end project management for data initiatives, from intake through delivery.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics. Ensure people and resources are appropriately allocated.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely execution across multiple concurrent projects.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams (data management, research, data intelligence, IT product management), external staffing providers and data vendors.
- Facilitate effective communication and handoffs between departments and workstreams.
- Ensure alignment across data, sales operations, product, and technology teams.
Resource Management
- Ensure efficient acquisition and allocation of resources and monitor utilization across projects.
- Collaborate with teams and managers to get the right people working on every project, with support and capacity to successfully complete their tasks.
- Identify and mitigate potential overages or scope creep.
CRE Expertise
- Leverage knowledge and experience of the commercial real estate industry to ensure projects are appropriate for the CRE user base. Recommend tools and data sources that can be valuable for projects.
- Manage documentation and knowledge-sharing of CRE definitions and data governance within Northmarq’s data platform.
- Support and mentor other Data Team members by increasing team’s awareness of CRE industry, terms, and best practices.
Performance & Reporting
- Track and report on KPIs such as campaign performance, delivery timelines, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and dashboards.
- Take ownership of Asana tasks, goals and projects. Drive accountability for other stakeholders to keep Asana updated.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of project management, data or research experience, in Commercial Real Estate or a similar industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Proven success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong understanding of Commercial Real Estate data industry.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Asana, Jira, Trello, Smartsheet, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive clarity across teams.

Minnesota Residents: Northmarq carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range for the Project Manager, Data position is $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually. This range is a good faith estimate and the actual compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
