We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Anduril, working in a cutting-edge environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in commercial survey systems.
Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, and operations, the Maritime team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Maritime Fleet in a challenging operational environment worldwide. As a Maritime Project Manager, you must be a technical leader with the expertise to evaluate, qualify, manage, and advocate for an increasing number of sophisticated parallel pursuits. This role is crucial in ensuring that each initiative aligns with the company's strategic direction and receives the appropriate resourcing, balancing innovation with practical execution to drive the business line's success. You will be required to learn technical concepts and employ them quickly. You will be expected to use your technical knowledge in conjunction with your program management skills to lead cross-functional efforts and deliver the best outcome for Anduril and the customer.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of AUV through development, integration, test, verification, and demonstration efforts.
- Ensure successful execution of multiple concurrent commercial survey and development programs in accordance with customer requirements, both on schedule and on budget.
- Project Planning: Develop project scope and manage changes through the life of the project. Identify, track, and manage risks. Generate and maintain project schedules, including identifying required resourcing and assets.
- Contract Management: Provide contract management support including statements of work, change orders, financial management, terms and conditions, data rights assertions, etc. Manage deliverables, including routine status updates and final delivery to the customer.
- Autonomous Execution: Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from external clients. Show a proven ability to work across the ambiguity to refine and capture key outcomes and deliverables for each individual project. Demonstrate high ownership on all pieces of work. Become a trusted partner across multiple teams in Anduril Maritime, including Engineering, Products, Operations, and Field Test Engineering.
- Customer Engagement: Interface with a variety of commercial survey customers and be able to represent the technical aspects of the Maritime portfolio. Serve as the “voice of the customer” for follow-on business capture efforts and activities, ensuring customer needs and requirements are clearly articulated to the Dive-LD product and engineering teams. Act as a champion for customers across commercial geophysical survey applications, including survey for Oil and Gas, Offshore Wind, etc.
- Test Event Execution: Support the Engineering team in integration, testing, and debug in a high-paced environment. Participate in formal testing efforts by identifying resources needed, tracking cost and schedule during workup testing and execution, and supporting mobilization logistics. Serve as customer PoC and interface during testing and funded work, providing clear and concise status, reporting on risks, and progress against required data deliverables
- Travel to support customer meetings and testing approximately 25-40% of the time.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering, renewable energy, ocean engineering, or a related field, as well as a demonstrated passion for subsea survey and hardware development
- 7+ years of project management experience, specifically in robotics, product development, or offshore operations
- Experience leading or executing product development of any type of system from TRL 3-8.
- High ownership and proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team to a common outcome
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience operating robotic systems offshore.
- Experience integrating subsea sensors.
- Experience in offshore wind, specifically with survey specifications and requirements associated with lease area assessment and/or inspection and maintenance of existing systems
US Salary Range
$108,000—$162,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
