Job Description

Project leader in Electrical Engineering & Automation

As Project Leader, you will be leading the Electrical engineering & automation design in projects. You are responsible for managing the scope, schedule, quality & costs of your own discipline. As the technical project leader for electrical engineering & automation in the projects. You will also play an important role in the sales and offering phase and acting in a principal and leading role in the project delivery and execution phase. You will have a strong interface with our customers and represent Cyient.

Main responsibilities:

• Managing, leading, planning, and coordinating EIA engineering in multidisciplinary projects.

• Monitor and report the progress including costs, quality and time.

• Identify potential additional works and work actively towards increased scope expansion.

• Identify changes and delays and take the necessary actions. Eg. acceleration measures, Resource allocations, Change orders.

• Participating in sales and offering stages of projects, active engagement in customer relationships.

• Leading the discipline project team (local and global) in a holistic manner and take responsibility for the team and ownership of the discipline and/or project.

• Support site and workshop activities when needed.

Qualifications:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Automation

• At least 7-9 years electrical engineering and/automation design work experience

• Deep technical knowledge within electrical engineering & automation and understanding of standards, regulations, and directives in the discipline.

• Good co-operation and communication skills in English and Swedish.

• Strong experience in industrial plant engineering projects

• Leadership skills and must have experience of a leading role

• Ability to build and lead a team from different countries.

• Capability to Lead people with team-spirit and driving attitude.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, Periods of site work will occur.

• Previous experience of engineering business culture and customer interactions.

• Previous experience in global project environments is seen as an advantage. 

• Strong communication skills, fluent in both Swedish and English is a must.

• Practical work from industry is meritorious.
