What we’re looking for: 

Nexamp is seeking an analyst to join the Capital Markets team working in Project Finance. Reporting to the Manager, Project Finance, you will help drive the execution and performance of the Project Finance team. You'll have the opportunity for future growth and development amongst a group of high-achieving professionals. We seek a driven, dedicated, and enthusiastic professional to join our dynamic team. This role is a hybrid position in Boston or New York City.

What you’ll do:  

  • Assist project acquisition and development teams with financial diligence of DG solar and/or storage assets.
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative summaries to present to senior management for investment decisions.
  • Support Project Finance team initiatives of analyzing new market opportunities and new product offerings by creating and enhancing financial models.
  • Be proactive in learning and mastering renewable energy markets along with state & federal programs.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, cash flow forecasts, etc.) to support Nexamp’s FP&A team and corporate goals.
  • Monitor trends in the renewable energy debt and equity markets. 

What you’ll bring:

  • 1+ years of investment banking, valuation, accounting, applied mathematics, quantitative analytics experience or relevant coursework.
  • Experience in renewables, energy, or infrastructure is preferred, but not required.
  • Financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills/knowledge are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Commitment to Nexamp's mission and have a passion for solving tomorrow's climate crisis today.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization.   
  • Experience in showcasing initiative to make improvements to current work, processes, products, and services across the organization. We value accountability and an ownership mentality. 
  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions. 
  • Expertise in building strong internal and external relationships with customers and stakeholders, instilling trust and loyalty across the industry. 
  • Eagerness to develop a fundamental understanding of how Nexamp operates and then apply that knowledge effectively to inform business decisions.
