About the Role
The System Project Engineering Lead (PEL) within the Development Engineering team is responsible for the successful development
& integration of automotive electronic products and leads the cross-functional development team from concept to production
within the project and company-mandated targets. The System Project Engineering Lead is the key interface for all
technical/engineering topics including product specification & requirements.
Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the ADAS product development and Integration in an assigned project
  • Own the product design and integration. Review and approve engineering work products.
  • Develop effort estimates and engineering timing plans per internal and external milestones, expected work products, and product deliveries.
  • Responsible for the ADAS system architecture & interface definition of ADAS ECU, sensors and vehicle communication.
  • Manage and support the definition of requirements, change requests, and unwritten requirements.
  • Review, track, communicate, and approve product Verification and Validation test status.
  • Responsible to communicate development status using dashboards, charts, and reports to management.
  • Manage engineering risks, report status, prepare contingency and mitigation plans and execute corrective actions.
  • Initiates escalation of unmitigated technical issues to engineering management
  • Responsible to actively pursue cost savings ideas.
  • Lead and prioritize day-to-day activities of the technical project team.
  • Facilitate all cross-functional design reviews (DFA/DFM/DFT, HSIS, ME/EE, etc.)
  • Ensures engineering targets (quality, delivery timing, performance, product BOM Costs, etc.) for product deliverables are met on time.
  • Supports engineering quote response for new projects.
  • Responsible for the consolidation of engineering estimation efforts, cost, and timing impact of change requests
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts, research, recommends and initiates implementation of enhancements to products, processes and programs.


Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or demonstrated equivalent skills (master's preferred)
  • Minimum of 7 years deep and relevant experience in the automotive electronics industry on System engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role is required (Leading a global team is a plus)
  • Proven track record of successful launches of automotive products


Your preferred qualifications

  • Deep and comprehensive knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field
  • Deep knowledge of the automotive software development process, experience with SOC a plus
  • Demonstrated decision making capability with a strong technical background.
  • Hands on approach when required.
  • Strong technical background. Understands needs of systems, optics, electrical, mechanical and software engineers for successful product execution
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of configuration management, project planning, monitoring, and control techniques (PMP certification a plus)
  • Able to lead and motivate a diverse, global team.
  • Able to represent technical topics internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills to all internal and external interface.
  • Travel (domestic and international) may be needed.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated under all working conditions (thrive under pressure)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office package
  • Comprehensive knowledge of English
