You will be responsible for project coordination of engineering activities like Material requisition, plant engineering related to oil and gas sector. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Engineering and functionally to the Project Manager.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing and Understanding Contract content and relevant technical annexes supporting, if necessary, the Proposal / Project Manager, during Bid / Execution Phase;

• Coordinating with the engineering specialists composing the technical team in the preparation of the overall Engineering Document List;

• Developing with the support of the various technical leaders the Master Project Schedule by detailing all the project design activities;

• Supporting the Project Manager during the various meeting with the Client and during the review of manhours breakdown;

• Preparing together with Project Manager the Coordination Procedure to me issued on the project;

• Coordinating the preparation of the various Material Requisitions;

• Completing coordinating the release of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (PIDs) to be issued on the relevant project;

• Coordinating and verifying the preparation of the PCN (Project Change Note), by evaluating the reason of the modification and any potential impact in terms of cost and time on the project;

• Preparing together with the Technical team the Project Design Basis of the project and developing the Equipment List;

• Controlling the engineering activities will be developed according to the best quality practices, according to the Engineering Standards and Procedures with particular reference to the documentation with multidisciplinary nature;

• Controlling and coordinating HSE activities subcontracted to external specialized offices;

• Organising  periodic design review with the various technical discipline leaders;

• Preparing the Work Requisition for Plant Engineering Activities to be subcontract to qualified Design Centre to be submitted to Director of Engineering for review and finalization;

• Supervising the release of Engineering documents by means of Document Controller support;

• Receiving from Client project requirements, in relation to design development and organize review / approval meeting for documentation, to be shared within the project team;

• Organizing and attending meeting to define Project Plot Pan verifying to be in compliance with Client request, optimizing spaces and keeping the necessary clearance for safety purpose, operability and maintainability purpose;

• Solving  any Non Conformity together with Project Manager, Quality Coordinator and Technical Department Responsible;

• Supporting the Project Manager in the preparation of any claims or change orders required during the development of the project, collecting the engineering information (hours, quantities, etc.) to evaluate them form an economical point of view;

• Preparing and managing with the function of a Package Engineer the material requisitions related to those “special items” or “package units” in chare to Project Engineering department;

• Preparing the Work Requisition for Erection Activities to be subcontract to qualified Erection companies, and to attend to Home Office Construction and Subcontract project review;

• Supporting the Site Manager and the various Supervisors in the proper interpretation of project documentation, drawings, etc. and in the resolution of technical discrepancies;

• Defining in detail the content of the final job documentation (mechanical, operational, start-up, maintenance, etc.);

• Coordinating  the technical departments during project development verifying that all the multidisciplinary information shall be duly shared among team members;

• Verifying project progress in cooperation with the Project Manager and Project Control;

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have a Technical High School Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in chemical or Mechanical Engineering

• Have very good experience in Project Engineering in oil and gas, EPC Engineering contractors or plant design

• Have good capability in the use of MS Office Suite;

• Have a high self-motivate approach, high flexibility grade during job activities;

• Be able to work with very tight schedule;

• Be able to summarize technical problems raised during design and to report to Project Managers, Client and Suppliers;

• Have to coordinate team work with empathic approach;

• Have an understanding of technical specification and documentation related to Oil and Gas / Chemical plants;

• Be familiar with the most used international Codes and Standards in use in Oil&Gas and Refining Engineering and Construction sector;

• Have deep knowledge in the typical EPC Engineering and Contractors company work process;

• Have deep expertise and competences in Instrumentation and Control sector;
