Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer to join our transportation team! In this role you will get to work on large scale transportation projects in Los Angeles that will assist in reducing commute times and traffic delay.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Serves as Owner’s Representative in the field and acts as liaison to discipline lead.
- Reviews, approves, and witnesses Contractor's inspection, testing and commissioning procedures, and reports.
- Monitors Contractor's compliance with design and construction requirements.
- Issues nonconformance notices if required and monitors testing and commissioning progress resolving all nonconformance notices.
- Reviews contractor's construction work plans, RFIs, submittals, force account work tickets/extra work bills and change order requests.
- Proactively anticipates and resolves issues such as changes in scope and slippage of schedules.
- Ensures that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
- Makes recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems.
- Ensures Contractor's effective implementation of all policies and procedures.
- Ensures the use of sound industry standard practices to maintain jobsite safety and quality control
- Monitors compliance verification and readiness testing of equipment.
- Prepares daily reports summarizing progress of inspection, testing and commissioning activities
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- 5 to 7+ years of systems engineering and field experience supporting transit or transportation projects of similar size/scope/complexity is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to understand complicated specifications, interfaces and SCADA systems.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to articulate progress to both technical and management level personnel.
- Capability to assume additional responsibilities.
- Sharepoint and Bluebeam experience a plus.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment and reliability

Salary Range:
$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
