Boeing Defense Space & Security has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join us as part of the Electronic Products (EP) organization located in Oklahoma City, OK.
The Sr. Project Engineer will support the EP Team in developing, tracking and executing efforts across the program portfolio. He/She will also support the EP Team in oversight of new business efforts and initiatives. The Sr. Project Engineer will have the opportunity to interface directly with senior leadership and will make an impact at a program level.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead complex projects from kick-off to completion
- Lead, plan, identify and coordinate multiple skilled resources required over the life of the project
- Break statement of work down into executable tasks
- Compare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiency, productivity, lessons learned and performance metrics.
- Interpret, analyze and organize complex technical problems, concepts and solutions across multiple disciplines and levels of management
- Identify and capture changes to statement of work
- Identify corrective actions to improve project or team performance
- Exhibit excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills
- Provide technical coordination with internal and external suppliers and customers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 10+ years of experience leading a team or projects
- Experience with MS Office tool suite
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 14+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
- Experience with electronic/electrical system designs
- Experience in fabrication and qualification of electronic/electrical equipment
- Ability to translate program requirements into engineering requirements and communicate effectively in both domains
- Knowledge of the Boeing procurement process
- Ability to create engineering workflows that can also produce actionable and trackable metrics leadership can understand
- Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
- Knowledgeable of the B-52 platform
