Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Project Engineer I to join our Actuation Systems team, where you will be integral in creating design solutions for electromechanical actuation systems across the aerospace industry developing flight control actuation systems on the next generation of aircraft. You will be involved in every aspect of the system life cycle; from the initial design concepts through product end of life.
You will report to the Sr. Engineering Program Manager and work out of our Tempe site on a hybrid work schedule. Please note that the new hires are expected to work fully onsite for the first 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Support engineering project execution to help achieve technical, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, risk tracking, and performance reporting.
- Contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and validation of electro-mechanical systems.
- Support requirements analysis and verification activities to ensure customer and program needs are met.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, analyses, and design records.
- Collect, analyze, and communicate test data and technical findings to project stakeholders.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause investigations, and corrective action implementation.
- Support hardware builds, qualification testing, and product validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and program management.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to support project deliverables and schedules.
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and assume increasing responsibility as experience grows.
MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- 0 to 1 years of engineering experience, including internships, co-op assignments, or academic project experience.
