Energi Talent Resourcing is supporting a well-established engineering services organisation delivering EPC solutions across Nigeria’s oil & gas sector. As part of continued project expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the successful execution of multidisciplinary engineering and construction programmes.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex EPC project delivery across technically demanding environments while working closely with senior leadership, site teams, and external stakeholders.

while supporting operational efficiency and client satisfaction across multiple project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead execution of EPC project scopes from mobilisation through completion
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and site teams for seamless delivery
  • Monitor milestones and manage project timelines proactively
  • Provide structured progress reporting to internal leadership

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage project budgets and forecasting activities
  • Track material usage, equipment deployment, and cost performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and reduce waste
  • Support commercial discipline across project execution phases

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a primary interface between internal teams and external partners
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and regulators
  • Support identification of follow-on project opportunities where appropriate

Risk, Compliance & HSE Oversight

  • Identify project delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and industry standards
  • Support site inspections, safety briefings, and operational risk monitoring

Quality Assurance & Team Leadership

  • Ensure delivery aligns with technical specifications and contract requirements
  • Supervise site personnel and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Resolve operational challenges efficiently and proactively
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and project reviews

Requirements

Candidate Profile

We are particularly interested in professionals with strong EPC exposure across upstream or infrastructure-linked oil & gas environments.

You should bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related discipline)
  • Minimum 10 years’ EPC project experience within oil & gas
  • Demonstrated success delivering multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong working knowledge of Nigerian project environments
  • Experience managing site execution and contractor coordination
  • Solid understanding of HSE compliance frameworks

The following are advantageous:

  • COREN registration or NSE membership
  • NEBOSH or OSHA certification
  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • Experience supporting brownfield upgrades or infrastructure expansion projects


Skills Required
