Job Description

Due to growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend's Project Management team in Adelaide are expanding and seeking a Project Director to join the senior leadership team.

As a Project Director with Turner & Townsend you must be capable to lead projects, manage a team, have a commercial focus and balance working across major projects. The successful applicant will be working closely with and supported by the Director for Project Management for South Australia. 

  • Lead and manage large scale real estate projects as the key client interface
  • Developing working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
  • Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Managing project safety and environmental requirements
  • Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
  • Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track

Qualifications

  • A recognised Degree qualification relating to a technical field: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management
  • 10 – 15 years industry experience working on major health/retail/commercial/mixed-use developments
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team
  • Strong business development acumen is highly desirable
  •  Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your clients
  • Advanced Microsoft skills are essential.
  • Technical ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills.
