Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Director (High-Rise Buildings) In this role you will get to Provide direction and management for every phase of large projects within a program or the program as a whole, to assure on-schedule completion within or below budget and in accordance with contractual obligations.
What You'll Be Doing:
Acting as a senior representative with our client, contractors, consultants, operators, authorities, and key stakeholders on a major high-rise program.
Providing leadership and direction through the construction management/oversight, testing and commissioning, and handover phase of the project.
Review and approve the Project/Program Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans, and governance frameworks.
Assist and oversee the coordination of multi-disciplinary teams responsible for architecture, structural engineering, MEP, vertical transportation, façade systems, life safety, and specialist building systems.
Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, approved budgets, schedules, and Parsons’ quality standards.
Managing the overall financial performance of high-rise programs, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, claims avoidance, and commercial risk management.
Identifying and proactively managing technical, delivery, and stakeholder risks, including interfaces with adjacent assets and infrastructure.
Leading negotiations related to scope changes, variations, and program adjustments.
Monitoring and reporting performance against key milestones, cost, schedule, safety, quality, and sustainability metrics.
Supporting business development activities, including strategy, proposal development, and client engagement for new high-rise building and mixed-use opportunities.
Coordinating with internal support functions and regional leadership to mobilize appropriate resources and capabilities for successful project execution.
Participating in senior-level meetings with ministries, regulators, investors, and public or community stakeholders as required.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering/construction discipline.
Typically 20+ years of experience delivering large-scale building projects, with a strong focus on high-rise and super high-rise developments.
Proven experience leading major tower, mixed-use, or large commercial/residential building programs of national or regional significance.
Strong background in program and project management within Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary design and construction teams and multiple project interfaces.
Strong commercial and financial management capability, including budgets, forecasts, change control, and claims/contract administration.
Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Arabian building codes, standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements relevant to high-rise construction.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to represent Parsons credibly and effectively at senior government, client, and investor levels.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience delivering landmark high-rise or signature building programs for major government entities, sovereign projects, or leading private developers in Saudi Arabia.
Professional registration (e.g., PE, CEng, RIBA) and/or relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
Familiarity with modern delivery approaches and tools, including BIM and digital engineering, off-site/modular construction, advanced façade and structural systems, and sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED, Mostadam).
Preference will be given for candidates with experience of working for Construction Contractors in the delivery of high-rise projects
