The Position
As a Project Director, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading a major capacity expansion project. You will ensure that the project strategy aligns with key stakeholders, set the project scope incorporating new technologies, and lead the project execution according to Novo Nordisk standards. This role involves managing a budget exceeding 3 billion DKK. You can look forward to:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a major capacity expansion project, ensuring its successful completion and alignment with organizational goals. The activities will be carried out at our site in Kalundborg, which is the workplace for more than 4.500 dedicated Novo Nordisk employees and the world's largest insulin production.
Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in managing large-scale projects, with extensive experience in pharmaceutical project management.
  • Experience leading projects with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with line management.
  • A strong understanding of process equipment, automation, and experience working in GMP-regulated environments.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory.


On a personal level, you are a self-starter who excels in handling tasks independently, with outstanding analytical, planning, and organizational skills that allow you to set direction, maintain an overview of progress, and prioritize effectively. You have a strong logical ability to navigate complex information from the scoping phase to execution and completion. You can network, identify key stakeholders, build trust, and secure commitment from internal and external partners. Your exceptional communication skills enable the creation of clear and high-quality presentation materials. Driven by curiosity, you challenge the status quo respectfully and present pragmatic solutions promptly, demonstrating an independent approach, agile mindset, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
About the department
You will be joining PS API Expansions. The area is anchored in Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employs approximately 30,000 of Novo Nordisk's 64,000 employees. PS API Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and build all major API Expansions projects across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We build and design our future API facilities as multi-product facilities with the flexibility to accommodate current and future products and display state-of-the-art technology and working environment. We focus on delivering the highest quality to patients globally in an efficient and environmentally sustainable way.
