📌 Role SummaryAs a Project Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing on-site construction activities. Your primary responsibility is to coordinate and supervise contractors throughout the construction phase, while providing essential support to Project Engineers to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
Job Purpose
To coordinate on-site project construction, including coordination and supervision of Contractors during the construction stage of a project and supporting Project Engineers in delivering the project in the Execution Phase.

- FTE calculation and insourcing analysis
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1. Coordination & Supervision
- Oversee and coordinate contractors and consultants, ensuring optimal performance during project execution.
- Manage multiple work areas and concurrent projects, particularly those with individual values exceeding US$5 million.
2. Project Support
- Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with daily project delivery tasks.
- Prepare and manage project documentation, reports, and communications.
3. Problem Solving
- Identify project challenges and proactively propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with field teams to resolve design and construction issues in real time.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Uphold a safe working environment by enforcing company procedures and legal standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Management of Change (MoC) process, with all modifications properly documented and approved.
5. Mentorship
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Project Coordinator I team members, fostering professional growth and development.
Education
- Degree or diploma in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
- Additional training in Construction Management is highly desirable.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in construction coordination or contractor supervision on complex chemical, hydrometallurgical, or refinery projects.
- Preference for candidates with experience on projects valued at US$15 million or more.
- Experience working in developing countries is a strong asset.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of construction operations and processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
- Familiarity with CAD software and ability to interpret construction drawings.
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management capabilities.
- Fluency in English is required; French fluency is a significant advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
