Job Summary:
Leads financial oversight for large-scale projects and ensures accurate budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Partners with project and regional leadership to provide financial insights that support project performance and profitability. Oversees project accounting activities, cost management, and financial compliance. Serves as the primary financial point of contact for the project and integrates financial data across all project components. Manages project accounting resources and supports financial decision-making across the project lifecycle. Provides financial leadership across multiple large-scale projects or programs and partners with business leaders to align financial performance with operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leads financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for large-scale projects, including analysis of risks and opportunities.
Serves as the primary financial advisor to project leadership, supporting decision-making and performance management.
Manages and develops project accounting staff, including oversight of daily financial operations and work coordination.
Oversees project cost structures, including labor, materials, insurance, and contract-related financial components.
Leads project performance reviews and prepares consolidated financial summaries and forecasts for leadership.
Monitors and manages cash flow, billing, collections, and financial exposures across the project lifecycle.
Ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, including audit coordination, leading implementation of financial processes and reporting practices across multiple projects to promote consistency, efficiency, and financial transparency.
Education Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, financial planning and analysis, or a related field required.
Experience supporting large-scale or complex projects with financial accountability required.
Experience in construction, manufacturing, extraction, or a related industry required.
Experience leading financial operations across multiple projects, programs, or business segments required.
2–4 years of experience in a managerial capacity required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
