We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Associate to join our team at K&A Power Group in Westwood, Massachussetts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects that make a real impact in the energy and utility sectors. Role Expectations:

  • Project Associates would work under an experienced Project Manager to effectively support the execution of projects with the Project Manager.
  • Project Associate may provide include, but are not limited to: Coordinating internal and external resources to support project scope. These resources include the following:
    • Engineering
    • Outage Planning
    • Site and Permitting
    • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Scheduling
    • Safety
    • Cost Analysis
    • Procurement
    • Contract Administration
    • Field operations/inspections
  • Assisting with the execution and development of project site requirements, which may involve site applications, petitions, development and management plans, and other applicable site documents
  • Developing the project schedule
  • Administering/reviewing/developing the following items:
    • RFIs
    • Submittals
    • Desktop requisitions
    • Change orders/Change Management
    • Invoice review & approval
  • Assisting in developing and reviewing technical bid documents
  • Leading and/or participating in field reviews
  • Leading and/or participating in contractor pre-bid meetings
  • Assisting in coordinating field activities
  • Reviewing and commenting on engineering submittals
  • Support the integration and use of E-Builder
  • Support Storm/ERP support as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field and minimum 2 years of experience or Associates Degree with 3 years of experience
  • Preferred utility construction and project management experience
  • Requires expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel utilization of pivot tables, v lookup, algorithms, and excel other functions).
  • Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing
  • Must have pleasant manner; able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must have customer service oriented “can do” approach to work
  • Must have superior organizational skills and accuracy
  • Excellent problem solving and people skills also required
  • Hybrid Position must be able to go into the office

Pay Range: $65,000-70,000/year

The salary range for this role considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to technical ability, experience and training, licenses and certifications, and other related skillsets. The disclosed range is an estimate and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

Skills Required
