The Role

Your role:

In this role, you will become a vital contributor to the sustainable growth of PPG’s Protective Coatings business and team. Structures and equipment that are required for the production of Energy, require the highest possible protection from the harsh environment. Protecting these assets while safeguarding a cleaner environment is our mission. With your strong knowledge of the market and equipped with our advanced product solutions, you will be able to build solid and lasting relationships with key customers in the value chain.

The role offers flexibility and can be based anywhere within Italy.

What we expect from you is to:

  • Pipeline management and project ownership;
  • Co-decide with EMEA Segment manager on which projects to focus on regionally;
  • own the project in the full value chain until packages land in the areas of Key Account Managers and drive towards a ‘win’;
  • Structured project pipeline management via CRM system and communication throughout the organization;
  • Key Account Management;
  • Develop durable customer relations across all levels of decision makers and influencers;
  • Gain knowledge of the industry, our products, and our tools to become the go to coating advisor for the key industry players;
  • Identify, support and drive innovation from and to the market that enhances our customers’ sustainability and productivity.
  • Project and opportunity management;
  • Ensuring we are specified and approved suppliers for the project/opportunity;
  • Driving the execution of project action plans;
  • Remove roadblocks and think in a solution driven manner
  • High knowledge of the full value chain in O&G
  • Highly commercially driven character/nature
  • Cooperate with Global Project and Engineering team and lead EU based projects to a win for PPG

How you qualify for the job:

  • Chemical/Mechanical engineer or equal through relevant experience
  • Proven (technical) presentation and sales skills in a fast pace Global Business to Business environment such as the Protective Coating industry - preferably with >7 years of experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player.
  • Hunting spirit
  • Passion for the Oil & Gas market
  • Ambition and drive to learn and develop towards potential next career moves.
  • Proficiency in English and your local language
  • Fluent in Italian and Spanish
