Project and Senior Engineers are responsible for leading engineering teams that design and implement customer automation projects. Project engineers take a comprehensive approach to solving problems, learning the details of each project’s mechanical, electrical, and software systems.

Responsibilities- Owns and leads the technical aspects of projects with small to medium sized teams
- Assists Project Manager in identifying changes in project scope and developing change orders
- Translates functional requirements to system configuration
- Designs control system network architectures and control strategies
- Serves as a technical contact for customers
- Programs controllers and configures automation equipment
- Selects automation equipment and instrumentation
- Designs electrical control cabinets and panels with support from CAD technicians
- Tests the system configuration to verify functions
- Travels to client site for project meetings and system verifications
Skills
- Thorough understanding of control system design and coding
- Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
Required Qualifications
- Professional level English (C1, C2, or Native)
- Engineering Degree (MBO, HBO, MS, or BS)
- Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer or Engineering Technology or related degree
- 3+ years of experience in automation
- As a minimum, you must be proficient on one or more of the following platforms:Inductive Automation Ignition
- Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix, PlantPAx, or FactoryTalk
- Emerson DeltaV
- Schneider Electric Modicon PLCs, EcoStruxure, PowerSCADA, Power Monitoring Expert (PME)
- National Instruments LabVIEW
- Siemens S7, PCS7, or WinCC
- Or similar IT, automation, or MES platform
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ Years in project management, including project financials
- 2+ Years leading technical projects and engineering teams
- Entry level Dutch (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2, or Native)
Skills Required
- Professional-level English proficiency at C1, C2, or native level
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, computer engineering, engineering technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in automation
- Proficiency in at least one listed automation, controls, IT, or MES platform
- At least 2 years of project management experience, including project financials
- At least 2 years leading technical projects and engineering teams
- Entry-level or higher Dutch proficiency
