Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage, monitor and analyze key tasks, activities and cost through the multiple phases of the program as directed by Senior PM or Principal / Chief PM for smaller projects• Outline timing, monitor and report (monthly) all activities (internal and external) on a division program / project with respect to:
- Total program costs/budgets
- Open issues (total program - departmental and supplier) of a divisional program
- Meeting reports
- Suppliers
- Coordination of cross-functional team responsibilities (internally and externally) for divisional program issues.• Drive APQP disciplines within organization• Lead, participate and approve Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) timing (Phased PPAP)• Ensures all APQP requirements are known/tracked/adhered to using planned milestones• Leads Plant trials for Engineering changes, Tool Moves and New Program Launches• Lead Launch and Warranty issue resolution in problem solving for applicable customer quality concerns. (Customer Specific Reports: 8D, 7 Steps, 5 Phases, Is/Is, 6 Panels, etc.)• Prepare and complete Control Plans• Develop Product Validation (PV) Plan (Schedule) including reliability and confidence (R&C) requirements in accordance with Program timing• Develop, implement and supervise Launch Containment System• Participate in Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) review and team sign off• Adhere to all Product Delivery Process (PDP), Program Planning requirements and expectations• Establish Supplier PPAP timing and review/approve on time prior to Product Validation requirements• Co-ordinate checking fixtures supply (design, manufacturing, Gage R&R, Instructions, Training)• Timely Test Incident Report (TIR) response and resolution, out of Evaluation phase within 48 hours• Lead TIR investigation for quality related issues, prepare 8D report and ensure timely closure of issue• Establish and develop the Cross Functional Teams as needed for projects• Lead CFT and hold team members accountable to timelines, budget, etc.• Meet or exceed budget and improve contribution margin• Obtain and present divisional metrics that are related to the specified program to the Principal / Chief Program Manager / Senior Program Manager• Utilize Company and Customer Timing Plans, Time/resource Activity Plans, Program Open Issues Lists, PDP and Meeting Reports to control the activities of all resources assigned to Division Program.• Provide guidance to Management in all Program related decisions.• Maintain a confidential and professional demeanor at all times.• Work in a safe manner at all times including the use of PPE.• Abide by company rules and policies as set out in the Employee Handbook.• Meet all customer commitments and all customer milestones• Obtain proficiency in TCAS• Conduct all necessary Launch Readiness Reviews if required• Perform other duties as required

  • Follows and implements the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Sec. 25 -duties of the employer, Sec. 26 -additional duties of the employer, Sec 27- duties of a supervisor, Sec. 28 - duties of a worker
  • Demonstrates leadership and commitment with respect to the EHS management system by following guidelines under ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 section 5.1
  • Follow WI 0644 Internal external communications plan for role specific authorities and responsibilities under the management system
  • Seeks out and corrects unsafe acts and hazardous conditions, ensuring all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
  • Ensures adherence to established quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Reviews and adheres to all health and safety, environmental, and quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Responds immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, defects, incidents or non-compliance issues.
  • Communicate responsibilities and authorities relevant to the EHS management system to workers
  • Understands and upholds the principals of Bill 168 which prohibit domestic violence, workplace violence, and workplace harassment
  • Attends Environmental, Health and Safety training and promote continual improvement
