Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a project analyst for our location in Belgrade, Serbia to start as soon as possible. The Project Analyst - IT Finance plays a key role in supporting the financial planning, execution, and governance of IT projects across the organization. This role provides essential financial insights, ensures project data accuracy, and partners closely with IT project managers and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, alignment, and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Analyst is responsible for maintaining strong financial controls, enabling accurate reporting, and supporting continuous improvement of project financial processes within a global environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage financial oversight of small and medium size IT projects (Fixed price, T&M and internal) including forecast, cost/time tracking, and variance analysis
- Support project financial administration by creating, validating, and maintaining project codes, cost centers, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and project structure changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead billing governance for projects by validating billing inputs, resolving billing discrepancies, coordinating urgent postings, and serving as a finance contact for billing related inquiries
- Execute financial controls for project accruals, support and oversee the purchase requisition process, monitor the PO lifecycle including closure and alignment with project scope, perform balance sheet/P&L reconciliations, project closing activities, and timely reporting of variances or risks
- Partner with IT project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate project financials, provide status updates, support global project reviews, and enable strong communication across Divisions.

Who we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field
- 3-4 years of experience in project financial management, project accounting or related finance roles
- Strong proficiency in SAP (preferably S/4HANA), including WBS, cost centers, and project systems.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, accruals, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Knowledge of PR/PO processes and vendor invoice flows.
Your preferred qualifications
- CPA designation or working towards designation preferred
- Experience supporting IT or technology driven projects is an asset
- Experience working in global or matrixed organizations preferred.
