About the Role
Buchart Horn is seeking a detail-oriented Project Accounting Administrator to coordinate project accounting functions across the firm. In this role, you will partner with Project Managers, leadership, and staff to ensure accurate project setup, financial tracking, and compliance with corporate policies. This position offers a unique opportunity to support multiple projects across various SBUs, gain exposure to diverse accounting practices, and help drive efficiency and accuracy in project financial management.
What You’ll Do
As a Project Accounting Administrator, you will:
- Manage contract information required for project setup and follow up to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Assist in month-end and fiscal year-end processes such as billing, revenue close
- Support Project Managers with financial data interpretation and reporting in BST such as A/R and project percentage complete
- Ensure timely and accurate distribution of invoices to project managers and admins
- Maintain all contractual and financial files from project initiation to archiving
- Support system upgrades and process improvements in project accounting
- Prepare specialized reports and documentation as requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications

- Associates Degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project accounting, billing, or financial administration within a professional services environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF tools
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
