Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain financial records for projects in the project management system, and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Become proficient in generating AIA billing & reporting.
- Work closely with the Operations Team to maintain accurate records and streamline workflows.
- Respond promptly to the needs of vendors and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the project team to monitor and review all project billings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify and process subcontractor and general condition payments.
- Ensure timely and accurate construction billings for multiple projects.
- Review Committed Costs, ensuring approved contracts and change orders are posted in the monthly requisition process.
- Assist with job closeout, verifying final commitment balances and retainage payables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years of proven experience in cost accounting, project accounting, preferably in construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and costing.
- Proficiency in Procore (preferred), QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft 365 (especially Excel).
- Understanding of General Ledger and Cost Codes.
- Ability to prepare financial reports.
- Perform business analysis, cost analysis, and risk identification skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Tactful, diplomatic, and professional when working with subcontractors and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
