Description

Base Salary:  $50,917 - $63,068   annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

  • Employer-paid health insurance (approximately 70% of the employee-only premium)
  • Employer-paid basic life and long-term disability insurance
  • Employer retirement contributions equal to 7% of salary plus up to a 3% match on employee contributions

The purpose of this position is to perpetuate Governor Rockefeller’s legacy of collaborative problem solving by facilitating respectful, convenings that address important issues and fosters mutual understanding across diverse viewpoints.

Essential Responsibilities:

Program Design:

  •  Develop long-range strategic programs, initiatives, and educational workshops that advance the Institute’s mission.
  • Identify issues that can be addressed through collaborative problem-solving and the convening of stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop solutions, recommendations, and best practices.
  • Engage key partners to frame issues, identify opportunities, and establish clear objectives and measurable outcomes 

Program Oversight:

  • Develop and manage program goals, timelines, budgets, and implementation plans in coordination with program partners.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to market program events and recruit participants.
  • Coordinate with Facilitation Services to design convenings, dialogues, and relevant exercises to accomplish program goals.
  • Lead program activities, including convenings, workshops, and stakeholder meetings from the front of the room and in small groups.
  • Secure the participation of key stakeholders and subject matter experts and perform other duties required to execute planned programmatic activities, including overseeing logistics, designing the evaluation process, and speaking confidently about the program area and the Institute’s mission.

Program Evaluation:

  

  • Design and administer participant surveys for programs and workshops and report key metrics in a timely manner. 
  • Utilize a formal evaluation process to synthesize program activity and prepare comprehensive reports that explain program outcomes for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of programs and workshops by analyzing participant feedback, direct and indirect outcomes of program activities, and the potential for similar or continued programming in the future.

 Other Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and sustain relationships with key partners, both individual and organizational, while maintaining accurate records of stakeholder engagement, partnerships, and outreach activities.
  • Maintain awareness of current and emerging issues, trends, and policy developments relevant to assigned program areas. 
  • Participate in Institute facilitation training and seek continuous improvement of facilitation skills.
  • Support the implementation of all Institute programs and workshops, including those outside direct areas of responsibility. 
  • Work collaboratively to identify opportunities for new partnerships, sponsorships, and grants.
  • Contribute to the Institute’s mission and day-to-day success by collaborating with other departments including but not limited to Advancement, Conference Services, and Facilitation Services.

  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Professional demeanor, reliable transportation, and the ability to represent the Institute effectively 

Environmental Factors: (lifting, standing, sitting, sounds, chemicals, hazards, etc.)

  

  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8-10 hours), daily
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (2-3 hours), as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs., as needed
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and ability to travel on behalf of the Institute 

  

Quality or Quantity Standards:  The Institute expects integrity, professionalism, and high-quality work from all employees. 

Required Education:  Bachelor’s degree in a related field, advanced degree preferred, or significant relevant experience 

Required Experience:  1-3 years related & 1-3 years of facilitation experience, 2-5 years cumulative 

Work Schedule: Varies with 60% on site and 40% remote, subject to change. Occasional nights and weekends and anticipated 20% in-state travel.
