The Role

This is a hybrid role based in our Los Angeles (West Hollywood) and will require you to be in office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What’s so interesting about this role?

We are looking for a Programmatic Ad Operations Specialist to support our programmatic advertising operations and revenue initiatives. This role will assist in managing vendor relationships, tracking ad performance metrics, and ensuring operational compliance with SOX and ad quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, organization skills, a willingness to learn new skills independently, and a result-oriented approach to their work.

What’s the job?  

  • Vendor Management Support:
    • Assist in daily operational tasks, including coordinating with programmatic ad vendors and updating the documentation.
    • Provide support in troubleshooting, including but not limited to discrepancies in ad serving and performance anomalies.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in preparing reports on key metrics such as revenue, impressions, CPM, fill rate, etc.
    • Monitor performance trends and flag any anomalies or underperforming areas.
  • Ad Quality Monitoring:
    • Monitor ad quality using existing tools to ensure that ads meet the required standards and comply with platform policies.
    • Partner with internal team and external vendors to resolve ad quality issues and improve overall ad quality.
  • Compliance, Process Management and Improvement:
    • Ensure all operational documentation is current and compliant with SOX and internal audit requirements; collaborate with finance, legal, and other teams on audit reporting.
    • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance ad quality monitoring, and improve reporting tools for greater efficiency.

What we'll love about you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or a related field. Or 1-3 years of experience in operations, BD or a similar role; ad tech industry experience is not required but a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong focus on creating clear, concise, and well-structured documentation.
  • Analytical mindset and eager to learn: Ability to interpret data and report on trends and a strong willingness to develop skills
  • Strong work ethic and drive: Demonstrates reliability, consistency, and dedication to completing tasks, with a proactive attitude toward achieving results, learning new skills, and improving processes.

We’ll really swoon if you have

  • Familiarity with mobile app mediation platforms, mobile ad networks, DSPs, and knowledge of mobile digital advertising practices and policies is a plus.
  • Experience with data reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Looker).

Grindr is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will also be eligible for equity, benefits, and a company bonus program.
