Position Summary:  
The Program Support Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support to the EPIC Place Office while promoting effective communication, teamwork, organization, and safety. The Program Support Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact by welcoming and checking in children, families, and visitors; answering and directing incoming telephone calls; taking accurate messages; and responding to general inquiries or referring individuals to the appropriate staff member. This position is responsible for organizing and coordinating program activities, including scheduling and assisting with the creation of forms, flyers, calendars, and other program materials as directed by the Center Manager.

Essential Job Functions:
1.    Provide administrative/program support to the EPIC Place to include copier projects, mail handling, and necessary internal and external communications.  
2.    Provide courteous and professional responses to telephone and on-site requests for information from community, parent, and site personnel.  
3.    Act in a manner that displays the utmost confidentiality and respect of staff, families, and children.  
4.    Communicates to all team members associated with the development of a project about goals and timelines.
5.    Experience and ability to courteously be responsive to requests from staff. 
6.    Assure that all reports, records, training, and data from the program team are maintained and tracked.
7.    Participate in ECEAP planning for ongoing program monitoring and self-assessment activities as directed by the Center Manager.
8.    Provide support in the preparation and compilation of the parent handbook, disaster plan, calendars, and other preparation that is needed as it pertains to EPIC Place.
9.    Report policy violations and/or unprofessional behavior to the supervisor in a timely manner in accordance with EPIC’s policies/procedures and with WACs.
10.    Support the site center with collection of training documents. 
11.    Assist with special events as requested such as family nights, preservice or in-service.
12.    Ensure EPIC Place parents have accurate and current information regarding school closures.
13.    Perform other duties and support with special projects as needed by the Center Manager.

Conditions of Employment:
 
Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, Tb skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.
Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).
Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) in Merit. 
Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
Current Food Handlers card.
Current First Aid/CPR card. 
Prior to the first day, complete Health & Safety training certificates through DCYF student training portal. 
Meet the minimum education requirements within the timeframe as stated in the performance standards.
Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.
CEO Approval.

 


Qualifications

•    HS/GED required.  
•    Sufficient skills in typing to complete 50 words per minute accurately and the ability to take sufficient notes at a meeting to prepare an accurate record of events.
•    Computer expertise in the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Publisher.
•    Bilingual/Biliterate (English/Spanish) preferred.
•    Excellent communication skills, multi-task skills, attention to detail, editing skills, and the ability to integrate with other team members, coworkers, vendors, clients, and the general public.
•    Valid Washington State Driver’s license, own transportation and required auto insurance.  
 

Skills Required
