Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a dedicated professional in IT project management in Magna Steyr’s global environment for a fixed-term position until December 31, 2027.

In this role, you will lead IT projects for the manufacturing of complete vehicles, collaborate with international stakeholders from various fields and support the design and implementation of our IT project management-related processes.

Your Tasks

  • Lead IT projects and programs in automotive manufacturing including managing complex internal software and integration projects with large-scale budgets
  • Own the end-to-end project lifecycle – from initiation and planning through execution to closure – covering schedule, milestones, budget, scope, resource allocation, change control, reporting and handover to operations
  • Ensure governance and compliance across enterprise architecture, information and IT security, and regulatory requirements, in line with internal standards and in coordination with stakeholders
  • Manage key stakeholders (such as customers, program leads, IT management…) and coordinate internal and external contributors; drive decisions and escalations via IT management and steering committees
  • Contribute to the continuous development and standardization of Magna Steyr's IT Project Management Office and actively drive process improvements and best practices across the IT organization
     

Who we are looking for

  • Successfully completed education in IT (HTL, university of applied sciences or university)
  • Experience in IT project and program management, ideally in automotive manufacturing, with the ability to deliver complex software and integration projects
  • Expertise in managing large-scale budgets
  • Solid experience in governance and executive-level reporting
  • Skilled in agile, hybrid and classic project management approaches, with practical experience in Jira/ Confluence, Excel/PowerPoint; familiar with using AI to enhance efficiency and optimize processes; Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 or ITIL are an advantage.
  • Fluent in German and confident in English communication with customers and partners

Your profile matters!

Based on your qualifications, professional experience and the responsibilities of the role, your actual salary will be agreed individually. The minimum monthly gross salary for this full-time position (38.5 hours per week) starts at € 4.355 (paid 14 times per year), with a clear willingness to offer a significantly higher salary depending on your qualification and experience.
