The Program Project Manager is responsible for a program / project from ideation to deployment.  The Program Project Manager works with the business and technical leadership to identify ways to drive forward the delivery of the prioritized strategic roadmap initiatives. Responsible for overseeing the successful completion of programs and projects and can work with a wide variety of areas such as IT, Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc. The Program Project Manager is responsible for the creation, organization, execution, and completion of assigned projects including all project deliverables and outcomes. This includes setting deadlines, communicating with project steering committee members, project stakeholders and others as appropriate about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and scope.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing projects from planning to completion

  • Manage all aspects of project charter development to completion, to include documenting business needs, defining impact on all existing processes, and obtaining appropriate reviews/approvals.

  • Advise about strategic and operational items within the project charter, business case and throughout the project meetings.

  • Ensure all project documentation is conveyed to the relevant stakeholders on time.

  • Identify, monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables.

  • Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs) and manage changes as necessary.

  • Plan, schedule, and control activities to fulfill identified objectives applying the technical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements.

  • Plan and implement moderate to some complex project plans and budgets.

  • Manage any change requests from creation through completion.

  • Track project plan performance to ensure timely delivery of all milestones and objectives.

  • Develop and enforce integrated project plan to the appropriate level of detail and escalate when barriers present themselves.  This includes the task interdependencies.

  • Allocate work amongst team members and provide regular guidance.

  • Establish and maintain high performing team and serve as the project advocate within the organization.

  • Ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

  • Define statement of work and specifications necessary for requested goods and/or services.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders

  • Ensure risks have appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

  • Evaluate alternative solutions and resolve project issues.

  • Ensure all required project documentation necessary to support all aspects of the project through closure.

Experience Needed

  • HS diploma or GED required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred

  • At least 5 -8 years of experience in program and project management.

  • Excellent written, verbal problem solving, use of situational thinking and facilitation skills.

  • Analytical, organized, multi-taskers with business knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence

  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.

  • Experience in the banking industry a plus.

  • PMI certification preferred.

  • Capable of multitasking in high paced, pressured environment.

  • Proven thought leadership capabilities, creative thinking skills, ability to quickly drive change.

  • Effective conflict resolution

  • Ability to make difficult and quick decisions on a daily basis.

  • Competent in MS Office Suite

This role can be based out of our offices in White Plains, NY, Jericho, NY, Stamford, CT or Southington, CT.

The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000USD to $125,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
