Are you a strategic leader who thrives on owning and driving complex programs from proposal through delivery? Jered—a PAR Systems company—is seeking a Program Manager to take full accountability for the performance of critical government and commercial programs.
In this role, you’ll act as a “Mini General Manager,” overseeing planning, execution, customer engagement, and results across scope, schedule, and cost. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, finance, and contracts to deliver mission-critical systems that meet customer expectations and business goals. Success requires both a strategic mindset and strong tactical execution skills, particularly within a government contracting environment.
Success Criteria
Your impact will be measured by how effectively you manage internal teams, customer expectations, and program deliverables to achieve business objectives. You’ll own the full program lifecycle—from proposal development and resource planning to production execution and sustainment—ensuring your programs are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned to quality and compliance requirements.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience navigating U.S. Government contracting regulations (FAR/DFAR), strong leadership in a matrixed environment, and the ability to resolve risks, track performance, and drive customer satisfaction. Familiarity with shipbuilding infrastructure or U.S. Navy contracts is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead programs through all lifecycle phases—proposal, development, production, and sustainment
- Develop and manage detailed program plans, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments (engineering, manufacturing, procurement, contracts, finance) to achieve program objectives
- Serve as the primary customer interface, ensuring transparent communication and trusted relationships
- Monitor scope, schedule, and cost using earned value metrics and internal reporting tools
- Drive corrective action and “go to green” recovery plans for any performance variances
- Lead subcontractor oversight and manage third-party suppliers to meet program deliverables
- Coordinate internal and external reviews, including gated checkpoints and customer audits
- Support proposal and pricing development for new business opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all U.S. Government contracting rules (FAR/DFAR)
- Lead post-program reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support product transitions from development into production and long-term support

Preferred QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in program management within a technical or manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to manage complex programs across the full lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFAR and U.S. Government contracting
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or technical discipline
• PMP or equivalent project management certification
• Experience supporting U.S. Navy or shipyard-related programs
• Familiarity with earned value management systems (EVMS) and program analytics
