PROGRAM MANAGER

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Program Manager in the Professional Services group, you will be responsible for delivery of intelligent applications from e2open's SaaS suite. You will be part of the team responsible for solution delivery to a customer across all project phases and will continue to improve your knowledge of Supply Chain, while delivering high customer satisfaction. You will act as an advocate for the client, providing direction for design activities, ensuring project delivery on-time and within budget.

The Program Manager works closely with the project team to complete routine analysis and research in support of business goals and strategies including implementation of modifications to solve problems and assisting in day-to-day project support to ensure project success.

The Program Manager has the following typical duties and responsibilities. This is not an exhaustive list and may vary from project to project based on the needs of that engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a medium-large portfolio of low-medium complexity software implementation projects within the Solution Domain.
  • Partner with a project team to run the full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation and defining scope to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Manager and report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities
  • Review estimates and prepare detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Be responsible for services sales tasks like salesforce opportunity and assist in contract (SOW/CR) creation
  • Lead in the resolution of any issues and problems that develop during the project lifecycle and effectively identify and communicate risk and mitigation options to other leaders within the project
  • Be a leader on a team of technical and business analysts and engineers, foster a productive team environment, and leverage diverse views to encourage innovation.
  • Participate in the process to evaluate project performance and communicate lessons learned to increase institutional knowledge, and further enhance best practices, tools, processes, and methodologies within Professional Services
  • Provide and communicate high level plans for budget and scope and prepare and track the project management documents, including the Statement of Work, Change Order requests, Resource Plan, Risk Management, Time Management documents, and Executive Leadership documentation/presentations.
  • Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Supply Chain-related or SaaS-related field in increasingly responsible roles including implementing complex solutions in an enterprise customer environment
  • Hands-on experience in software deployment projects (no software development experience required)
  • Ability to communicate and guide the implementation effort towards business objectives
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and to build mitigation plans
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with the customer
  • Ability to work across all levels of the internal and external organization
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to present strategic information, data, and results in a clear and understandable manner utilizing methods appropriate to various forums
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for delivering
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • General office environment and responsibilities requiring:
    • Extensive use of the computer which involves viewing a monitor and keyboarding for most of the workday 
    • Placing and receiving phone calls 
    • Occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds 
    • May require occasional travel as needed
