GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks a highly experienced remote Program Manager III to support our growing Cloud Services practice and help advance cloud modernization initiatives aimed at increasing IT efficiency, improving delivery, and reducing costs.  We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Program Manager III with a focus with AWS CSP to lead our cloud migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies, deep knowledge of AWS services, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex, large-scale migration and modernization projects from on-premises to the AWS cloud environment. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet defined success criteria.

Essential functions/responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and final delivery of multiple AWS migration projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, including resource allocation.
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Coordinate internal resources, third-party vendors, and technical teams for the flawless execution of migration projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered using appropriate project management methodologies and tools.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts.
  • Work closely with Solution Architects and Engineers to define migration strategies (e.g., Rehost, Replatform, Refactor).
  • Oversee the entire migration lifecycle, from discovery and assessment to cutover and post-migration support.
  • Maintain project documentation, including migration plans, status reports, and lessons learned.
  • Facilitate a project kickoff meeting on Date for the upcoming Q1 migration project. The link to the meeting is Calendar event.
  • Lead and support cloud optimization initiatives, including performance monitoring, cost management, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time and within scope, collaborating with project owners to define requirements, assess risks, and manage resources.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet technical, functional, and non-functional performance requirements.
  • Leverage technical knowledge and customer insights to develop modernization roadmaps, architect solutions, and guide successful deployments.
  • Provide end-to-end implementation guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop tools, documentation, and playbooks to enable support organizations to resolve customer issues, including complex cloud architecture scenarios.
  • Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, and DevSecOps teams to design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud-based solutions.
  • Mentor and guide customer teams on best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and emerging technologies.

Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations 

Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards. 

Basic Qualifications  

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years focused specifically on cloud migration projects (AWS is preferred).
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end IT infrastructure and application migration projects.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS foundational services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM).
  • Strong knowledge of various migration strategies and tools.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Project Manager (if available).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with compliance and security requirements in cloud environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams located in various offices

Work authorization/security clearance requirements 

  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance 

Work environment 

  • This work is typically completed in a remote environment with occasional trips to the client site.

Physical demands 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's and client facilities.  

Travel required: Yes, to the client site on an as-needed basis.

This includes acquiring a thorough understanding of job-specific responsibilities, systems, and workflows as outlined during onboarding and training.
