Application Specific Microcontrollers (ASM) Business Unit within Embedded Processing is looking for an energetic, technically skilled, and results oriented leader, who enjoys helping others to succeed by providing team members and with motivation and support in a positive and professional work environment as a Program Management Engineer.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will challenge teammates to achieve flawless execution goals, while maintaining strong working relationships. The ASM BU develops advanced microcontroller solutions for safety-critical applications, with a primary focus on automotive and industrial markets. Our portfolio includes high-performance MCUs designed for ADAS, body electronics, powertrain control, industrial automation, and motor control applications.
Responsibilities include:

• Lead a cross functional team on the execution of releasing new products and ensuring successful return on investment for every development; the team consists of Design, Marketing, Systems & Applications, Validation, Product & Test Engineering, Firmware/Software Engineering, Manufacturing, Field, and Quality
• Work with wafer fabrication, assembly & test sites to guarantee schedule, cost and quality
• Plan the project using MS Project from Assess Opportunity Phase to Release to Market and is responsible to make sure the project comes in on budget
• Provide clear direction to both, team and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly and test sites
• Drive and motivate all team members critical to the flawless execution of each product and project
• Provide weekly and monthly updates to senior management on status of projects, explaining the issues facing a project
• Interact with customers in support of project status, key milestones, and deliveries. This includes samples deliveries, special work requests, wafer lot starts and reliability tests
• Perform product reliability and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements
• Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures
• Maintain thorough and up-to-date project schedules with all related milestones
• Develop and implement Qualification plans
• Communicate weekly to management on status of each project
• Effectively coordinate material logistics and shipment/assembly/test prioritization
• Maintain Galileo system per new product development guidelines
• Success will be measured by the ability to grow the number of new products and drive the forecasted return on investment.

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
• 2+ years of engineering experience with project engineering/management experience on highly complex products/projects
• Proven leadership capabilities in leading multifaceted global organizations
• Successful proven track record in indirect management and influence

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and set realistic plans based on required tasks with available resources
• Ability to effectively coordinate and lead global development teams on projects that include design, silicon fabrications, production test development, qualification and production ramp; Programs will be driven out of multiple global locations
• Ability to provide clear direction to both internal teams and external support organizations like device fabrication and assembly sites
• Knowledge of device packaging and wafer fabrication process
• Knowledge of reliability requirements and tri-temp characterization methodology using statistical analysis
• Ability to work in a team environment and understand cross-functional team dynamics
• Ability to work with global customers to align project schedules with customers' key milestones
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
