Job Description: Program Manager – DEA & BFSI
Experience: 10–18+ Years
Role Summary
The Program Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering large-scale programs in the Data Engineering, Analytics, and BFSI domains. The role involves endtoend program governance, stakeholder management, roadmap development, delivery execution, risk management, and working closely with business, technology, data, and compliance teams.The ideal candidate should have strong experience driving data modernization, cloud data initiatives, regulatory/compliance programs, and analytics transformation in BFSI environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage complex multiworkstream programs across Data Engineering, Analytics, and BFSI product areas.
Own program planning, execution, governance frameworks, and delivery across crossfunctional teams.
Drive roadmap creation, scope definition, resource planning, and budgeting.
Coordinate development of data platforms, ETL pipelines, analytics solutions, data quality, and data governance initiatives.
Work closely with business teams to translate BFSI business needs into technical deliverables.
Ensure programs comply with BFSI regulations, audit controls, risk management, and data security standards.
Establish KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms for senior leadership.
Mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery against milestones.
Ensure seamless communication between engineering, data, product, architecture, and business stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement, process optimization, and best practices in execution and governance.
Mandatory Skills (MustHave)
Program Management Expertise
8–10+ years leading large programs in technology or data domains.
Strong grip on delivery frameworks: Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid.
Proven experience managing multi-vendor and cross-geography teams.
DEA (Data Engineering & Analytics) Experience
Understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data lakes, data warehouses.
Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Awareness of data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, and MDM concepts.
Experience delivering analytics/reporting/BI programs.
BFSI Domain Expertise
Experience with banking, insurance, lending, asset management, or financial operations.
Knowledge of regulatory/compliance frameworks such as:
KYC, AML
Basel II/III
PCI-DSS
IFRS
Data privacy policies
Understanding of BFSI risk, fraud, payments, customer data, or core banking systems.

Ability to manage C-level, business heads, and senior leadership.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and conflictresolution skills.
?? Governance & Reporting
Experience with RAID logs, governance decks, project budgeting, capacity planning.
Ability to create executive-level dashboards and program status reports.
Good to Have Skills (Preferred)
Technical Exposure
Understanding of tools like Informatica, IDMC, Databricks, Snowflake, Hadoop, Kafka, Power BI/Tableau.
Experience in data migration or modernization programs.
Certifications
PMP / PRINCE2
Agile (CSM, SAFe)
Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP)
Data governance or data management certifications
Leadership & Strategic Skills
Experience in setting up PMO frameworks
Ability to coach project managers and engineering teams
Strong vendor and contract management skills
