About the Role - As a member of the Ads Program Management team, you will own a portfolio of projects and programs that unlock value for Instacart and our Brand Partners. 



About the Team - The Ads Program Management team empowers Brand Partnerships, Cross-functional teams, and Advertisers by enabling central visibility, prioritization, organization, and accountability for the opportunities that are most impactful to our Advertising Business.

The Ads Program Management team’s mission is to drive value for the Brand Partnerships org by:

  • Serving as the glue between Brand Partnerships & our cross-functional teams to ensure our overall efforts are intentional, focused, and achieving results
  • Supporting the creation, improvement, and management of key Brand Partnerships programs by establishing best in class frameworks and processes that are repeatable, flexible, and drive efficiency
  • Unlocking net new advertising opportunities by prioritizing and managing the execution of pilots, projects, and programs that drive significant impact for the business



About the Job 

As a member of the Ads Program Management team, you will own a portfolio of projects and programs that unlock value for Instacart and our Brand Partners. Day to day responsibilities include:

Program & project management 

  • Full cycle project management inclusive of scoping and discovery, solutioning, gathering of business requirements, developing of project plan and documentation as well as supporting cross-functional work streams to ensure success of key business objectives
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans that outline key milestones to support the expansion while holding key stakeholders accountable to achieve these milestones
  • Risk identification, dependency tracking, issue identification and change management on projects.
  • Maintain project reporting & communications to reflect clear and accurate line of sight to progression towards project objectives across all stakeholders.
  • Serving as the voice of our Sales and our Advertisers internally by driving accountability towards deliverables that are critical to their success
  • Drive the coordinated management of large, complex programs over a finite period of time in order to achieve specific business goals.

Communication & organizational skills

  • Represent proposed strategies to multiple stakeholders including, but not limited to account leadership and BP stakeholders 
  • Establish and leverage clear communication channels & expectations within project teams
  • Clearly communicate risks & blockers escalating as appropriate to ensure business objectives & agreed upon timelines are met
  • Understand and document complex business processes to create transparency
  • Maintain project and program reporting to reflect clear and accurate line of sight to progression towards project objectives across all stakeholders
  • Maintain organized documentation for projects and programs within your portfolio

Cross-functional collaboration & leadership

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with many teams and multi-tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Identifying and pulling together cross-functional teams necessary to successfully launch projects & programs
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to understand key pain points and opportunities when brought into a project or program

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Partner with sales and other business teams to identify and solve problems with scalable iterative solutions
  • Prioritize projects that will add value and/or reduce friction for advertisers and our Sales team
  • Proactively identify project risks/ blockers and organize mitigation plan to solve prior to project impact
  • Manage and balance the prioritization of projects & programs



About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of program management or project management experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to connect the dots across yours and other programs in order to see around corners and anticipate risks and opportunities
  • An interest in working in a fast-growing, fast-paced environment with changing responsibilities, and a willingness to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed
  • Excellent relationship-building skills - able to work with a broad range of internal stakeholders spanning different departments
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and are solution-oriented
  • You're not afraid to engage directly with complex issues.
  • You find motivation in creating order from chaos and facilitating collaboration across teams to drive business success.
  • You have empathy for those you work with
  • You're adept at independently managing multiple projects or programs, prioritizing effectively amidst various demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advertising, CPG, and/or retail
