Vantage MedTech is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented Program Director to join our team. The Program Director is accountable for the successful delivery and execution of all projects within their assigned portfolio. This role combines hands-on leadership of large, complex electro-mechanical design and manufacturing programs with oversight and accountability for projects led by other Project Managers. The Program Director typically supports the company’s largest and most strategic customers and is responsible for delivery outcomes, financial health, and customer satisfaction across the portfolio.
In addition, the Program Director is the senior owner and escalation point for customer relationships within assigned accounts. As a visible leader, they coach and mentor Project Managers while contributing to continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools across the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Portfolio & Program Execution
    • Owns delivery outcomes for all projects within the assigned portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
    • Directly leads large, complex, multidisciplinary and/or multi-site medical device design and manufacturing projects for strategic customers.
    • Provides oversight and accountability for projects led by other Project Managers, serving as the primary escalation point for execution risks and issues.
    • Ensures portfolio alignment with PMO governance, priorities, and strategic objectives.
  • Customer Ownership
    • Serves as the senior owner of customer relationships for assigned accounts
    • Ensures strong alignment between customer expectations and project execution.
    • Reviews and approves change orders and major program decisions.
  • Financial & Resource Management
    • Monitors portfolio financial health, including budgets, forecasts, utilization, and projections.
    • Partners with Project Managers and functional leaders to assess resource needs and staffing plans.
  • People Leadership
    • Coaches, mentors, and develops Project Managers, providing performance feedback and guidance.
    • Supports consistent execution standards and professional growth across the project management team.
  • Organizational Leadership
    • Contributes to continuous improvement of program governance, execution processes, and tools.
    • Collaborates with other Program Directors and functional leaders to improve delivery effectiveness and scalability.
    • Acts as a visible leader who drives cross-functional collaboration and execution excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 12+ years of experience in medical device development or manufacturing
  • 12+ years of project or program management experience, including complex customer-facing programs
  • Strong experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing customer relationships
  • 7+ years of experience in project estimation and financial management
  • 7+ years of experience working within an ISO 13485 QMS and FDA-regulated environment
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead Project Managers
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
