Your Opportunity 

As the Program Director / Program Manager you will ensure adherence to the mission and objectives of the Program. You will have oversight of numerous infrastructure projects, develop solutions to program/project challenges, and manage a staff of professionals and technicians for successful completion of projects. You will oversee all functions and activities from planning and development to implementation at the program level. In addition, you will manages major initiatives, and integrates resource and organizational components for best fit and overall program success. You as the Program Director / Program Manager will track and manage costs of the Program and will take the measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget. You will be accountable for providing overall management direction and has primary profit and loss responsibility for the assigned program.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establishing program/project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of Company policy and client mission and processes.
  • Support program delivery for existing programs in the areas of overall management and project controls and provide analysis of key performance metrics and program strategies.
  • Communicating areas of concern to Program Leadership Team including the Client.
  • Initiating and maintaining Client relationships to facilitate Program activities.
  • Consistently and successfully developing and implementing solutions for the Program.
  • Leading large, complex teams through challenging project assignments and complex client environments, as in those co-located team in client’s on-site offices.
  • Assuring that projects & associated tasks within the Program are staffed with the appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives within Company profit model.
  • Leading planning studies, design, and construction services related to airport and aviation facilities and infrastructure rehabilitation and replacement projects.
  • Supporting and leading multi-disciplinary teams on airport and utility infrastructure design and construction projects
  • Supporting staff with field activities including providing technical assistance during construction and other fieldwork.
Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
  • Work in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
  • Consistently adhere to and enforce internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.
  • Manage the financial aspects of Stantec contracts to protect Company's interests and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client.
  • Candidate should be a proactive and self-starting with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a team of specialized employees and contractors in a coordinated and integrated manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in development of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling and schedule analysis, cost estimating and cost control, budget development, reporting and record/document control
  • Direct experience in developing and updating cost and resource loaded schedules using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and other database programs, web-based tools and spreadsheets
  • Expert knowledge of scheduling practices and cost engineering concepts
  • Value of programs previously managed should be $1.0B or more
  • Experience in the public sector desired. Municipal experience in areas of public works, utilities, transportation, and industry preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Must have the ability to convey project needs to the project managers and clients and to formulate those needs into comprehensive plans and specifications
  • Must demonstrate organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Candidate must be willing to relocate after employment/assignment
  • Strong willingness to be a part of a large global engineering company, and to work with teams in other offices around the world

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS in Engineering/Environmental/Construction Management required
  • 10 years program management experience in aviation or infrastructure/buildings/utility projects required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired
  • Certifications: One or more of the following: PE, CCC, CCE, PSP, PMI-SP, CCM, preferred

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
