Position Overview

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Program Manager, project staff, finance, and accounting to support government program financial, cost and schedule activities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for support of program planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting.
  • Interface with customers, subcontractors, project managers, contracts, senior technical personnel, finance, and senior management. 
  • Implement financial policies and procedures in support of the program and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain budget baselines, Estimates at Completion (EAC) and Estimates to Complete (ETC).
  • Provide timely and up-to-date financial and status data.
  • Support financial forecasting, tracking and analysis; assist in identifying trends and concerns in financial data.
  • Assist in monitoring subcontractor financials and material purchases.
  • Monitor funding and ceiling notifications.
  • Support the Program Manager (PM) in preparing financial reports and status updates for government customers.
  • Assist in preparation of Program Management Review (PMR) presentations.
  • Track percent complete in compliance with an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Assist in maintaining the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in compliance with the Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Support management and communication of Charge Numbers; monitor labor charging.
  • Assist in the development and analysis of cost proposals for submittal to customers.
  • Work with finance to update Deltek Costpoint financial data.
  • Coordinate with finance on charge numbers and invoices.
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in finance or a business-related field OR 2+ years of experience with a degree.
  • Experience tracking and supporting program financials.
  • Familiarity with Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLINs) and funding/ceiling modifications.
  • Exposure to development and maintenance of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) / Integrated Master Plan (IMP).
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Degree in finance or business-related field preferred.
  • Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Prior experience with the Integrated Program Manager (IPM) tool (OPDEC).
  • Prior experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Prior experience with Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR).
  • Experience with government programs, preferably DoD and modeling and simulation, is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
