Job Description
The Prod Tech 2 is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks related to the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of optical components and modules,(we do not require Operator to troubleshoot, they just need to follow Work Instructions) ensuring quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibilities**
* Perform manual and automated assembly of optical components and modules according to detailed manufacturing instructions and process specifications.
* Conduct in-process and final testing of products using specified equipment and procedures, analyzing test results and identifying deviations.(Ops do not analyze data, Engineers do and the data verification is automated to catch deviation though MES)
* Operate and maintain production equipment, including calibration and basic troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance. (This is done for maintenance engineering)
* Document production activities, test data, and quality control information accurately and completely.
* Identify and report product defects, process anomalies, and equipment malfunctions to supervisors or engineering staff.
* Adhere to all safety regulations, cleanroom protocols, and quality management system requirements.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization efforts.
* May assist in training junior production technicians on specific tasks and procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Job Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, optics, manufacturing) preferred.
* 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in optics, electronics, or a related high-tech industry.
* Proven ability to work with small components and use precision tools (e.g., microscopes, calipers, soldering irons).
* Experience with test equipment and data acquisition systems.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
Physical Requirements:
Able to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing a full Bunny Suit plus PPE
Able to work standing during shift in cleanroom
Able to lift 20-30lbs
20/20 vision (corrected or natural) for short- and long-range viewing
Able to work in close proximity to others and equipment.
Ability to work overtime on short notice, if needed.
Ability to work a compressed shift schedule.
Production Tech 2 (A shift - Sunday-Tuesday + alternating Wednesday) 6:00am - 6:00pm 11.50 hours.

Pay Range:
