Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Support Specialist to join our manufacturing team in our Atlanta, GA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for supplying materials and components to the production floor to keep operations running smoothly and on schedule. The ideal candidate takes pride in accuracy, works well independently, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, pick and pull materials based on work orders, production schedules, or supervisor direction.
  • Source materials and verify availability prior to production runs to prevent line stoppages.
  • Audit production orders for accuracy 
  • Execute zone picks to support efficient material picking.
  • Issue Purchase Order Requests (PORs) to material handlers and monitor fulfillment status.
  • Close PORs upon completion and enter production data accurately into the system.
  • Create picks on warehouse shipments.
  • Issue warehouse shipments to finished goods pickers to support order fulfillment.
  • Verify materials against work orders and traveler documents to ensure correct part numbers, quantities, and specifications.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company policies, including proper lifting techniques and PPE requirements.

Experience and Skills: 

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a production, manufacturing, operations, or production support environment.
  • Experience supporting day-to-day production activities, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining workflow efficiency.
  • Familiarity with production schedules, inventory control processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Experience using manufacturing systems, ERP systems, or production tracking software preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and conduct data entry accurately.
  • Experience in problem solving in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven experience with metal fabrication
  • Experience in using electrical and manual tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate equipment, tools, keyboards, and other office or production devices.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to moving equipment.
  • Visual ability to inspect materials, review production documentation, and operate computer equipment.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to see and read information on a computer screen for prolonged periods, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, using a mouse, and other repetitive tasks.
