What You Can Look Forward To:
Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Production Supervisor, with the Manufacturing team in the San Leandro, CA facility. This position oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency goals are consistently met. This role involves leading production staff, coordinating workflow, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement.
What Will You Do?
- Supervise and coordinate activities of production team members on assigned shifts.
- Deliver production plan outlined in the schedule and adjust priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
- Train, coach, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement.
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare reports for management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Inspect materials and products to verify conformance to specifications.
- Communicate effectively with other departments (Maintenance, Quality, Planning, etc.).
- Enforce company policies and disciplinary measures when necessary.
- Drive utilization improvements by analyzing data by operation, communicate and coach operators on best practices based on this data.
- Physical requirements of the role include standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; working manufacturing environment conditions.
- Protective equipment must be worn as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze problems, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
- Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
