We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team at our 5G Antenna production facility in downtown Syracuse, NY. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing employees in a high-speed, automated environment. Their duties will include planning and delegating tasks, enforcing policies and procedures, suggesting enhancements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all day-to-day activities of the assigned Department(s) and shifts.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for product shift area Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics
  • Building and maintaining, directly or through Team and Line Leads, a highly motivated, flexible, team-based workforce by driving employee development, cross-training and accountability.
  • Conducting on-time employee performance reviews to determine and promote competency, knowledge, and quality of contribution.
  • Preparing reports, analyzing data, and making recommendations for improving operations performance and solving manpower-related problems.
  • Anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinating with Maintenance for equipment and facility related repairs and upgrades.
  • Develop and implement strategies for optimizing production processes specific to 5G antenna manufacturing.
  • Engage in advanced technology integration and continuous technological upgradation within the production lines.
  • Lead strategic planning and forecasting to align departmental goals with organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and continuously promote a culture of safety.
  • Manage change effectively in the organization by developing and implementing change management strategies.
  • Facilitate and enhance interdepartmental collaboration to optimize overall production efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation in production methods and systems.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years direct supervision experience supporting a manufacturing facility.
  • Bachelor’s degree required but consideration may be given for extensive experience.
  • Lean manufacturing experience is required.
  • In-depth knowledge or specialization in 5G antenna production technologies.
  • Advanced proficiency in state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and business forecasting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations in a production setting; certification in this area is a plus.
  • Proven skills in change management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong capability for cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
  • A track record of implementing continuous improvement and innovative practices in a manufacturing context.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
