Production Supervisors - Morgantown, Kentucky


REAL ALLOY is a seeking a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for supervising the hourly employees on the assigned shift and in the assigned department (i.e. Rotary, Reverb, Shredder, or SPF).  The Production Supervisor is responsible for driving safety, production requirements, and process improvements for their assigned shift.


This Production Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and company policies and procedures.
  • Scheduling and directing employees in assignment and completion of production work, including overtime scheduling.
  • Training a team of workers to achieve or exceed budgeted production goals while maintaining compliance with environmental and other regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees production schedules, quality specifications, according to customer requirements.
  • Verifies inventory of raw materials, finished goods and production supplies and enforces Inventory and Quality Control Procedures.
  • Supports initiatives and projects which drive continuous improvement. Fosters a culture of safety, leadership, and the development of employees.
  • Directing efforts to comply with all safety, housekeeping, production, work rule and regulatory policies.
  • Meets established production schedules, quality specifications, and required deviations according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure proper record keeping of shift activities. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 
  • Accurately communicates shift handoff reports to the oncoming shift.
Qualifications

The Production Supervisor will need the following to be successful in this role:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and directly related supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
  • Oracle experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required
