The Production Supervisor provides leadership and accountability for daily production activities on an assigned shift. This role leads production employees, ensures safe and efficient operations, meets quality and delivery requirements, and drives consistent execution and continuous improvement.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead and supervise production team to achieve daily safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work assignments, staffing, and production priorities.
  • Monitor production performance and address issues that impact output, quality, or schedule.
  • Ensure teammates follow company policies, safety requirements, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Lead and develop Team Leaders and production team through coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and improve production flow.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety, quality, and production issues.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and communicate shift results, issues, and priorities to management.
  • Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations matters in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure accurate production documentation, reporting, and shift handoffs.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Escalate significant safety, quality, staffing, equipment, or production issues to appropriate leadership.
  • Support special projects and operational initiatives.
  • Participate in corporate initiatives and cross-site collaboration.

Schedule:

The standard schedule consists of two shifts: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM. Schedule flexibility is required based on production needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience leading manufacturing or operations with full site or business responsibility
  • Proven profit and loss ownership with strong financial and cost-control acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus
  • Must be a U.S citizen. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, with prior experience leading production teams.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools preferred.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, reach, and navigate production areas.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed.


Working Conditions

  • Onsite position with office environment and heavy exposure to manufacturing areas.
  • Flexibility to adapt to peak workloads and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
